About Mages
Mages is currently a full-time tutor and author of English and Science assessment books.
She has taught at CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls’ School (Primary) for 10 years.
She has more than 20 years of tutoring experience and is au fait with the latest GCE O Level English, PSLE English and Science Syllabuses. She has conducted numerous creative writing workshops and many students have displayed a significant improvement in their writing skills, thanks to her teaching.

Teacher Mages was patient with me and helped me with my English. Initially, I was weak in writing compositions and oral communication. However, Teacher Mages had not only helped me overcome my fear of going for oral examinations, but also taught me different skills for writing compositions. She also shared with me many good words and phrases and how to use them appropriately in the compositions. I improved a lot from my mid-year examination and was elated when I received my prelim results. I improved from a score of AL4 for mid-year to AL2 for preliminary examination. Teacher Mages has been my Science tutor since March this year. Before starting tuition with her, I was weak in Science, especially in answering the open-ended questions. With all the notes Teacher Mages had given me, I improved a lot in the subject. For the first Science test this year, I almost failed; but for the recent one, I got 29 out of 30 marks. Ms Mages is very helpful and patient. Even though I am a little slow, she never gives up explaining the concepts till I understand. Mrs Mages teaches me in an interesting way to understand Science. Although Mrs Mages has been teaching me for only four months, I have improved a lot in the subject.
